I have to say, I'm a military brat and married into a family of Mississippi State Bulldog fans. It has been a tough team to cheer for more often than not, but those are some dedicated fans. We did go to the Independence Bowl when State made it and it was in Shreveport, Louisiana. It was crazy! New Years Eve, 2000 and it SNOWED! Yep, in Louisiana! We FROZE! I just kept thinking, I can make it four quarters. Then it went into overtime!!! I thought I would die of hyperthermia (us southerners are wimps!) IT was worth the trip and the overtime as STate won by 3 in a crazy and wonderful game! Here are a few pics ( and yes, some more cheezy scanned in ones)!

i believe it was hy"PO"thermia that you almost died of, but you made it through like a champ, nevertheless. no, it's not easy being a dawg, especially when mediocrity is not so much to cheer for. thank you so much for not jumping on the lsu bandwagon down here, though, as it would me much "easier" to be a tiger fan. however, that would surely throw a monkey wrench in our relationship.
I remember that game. How crazy was it it snowed that hard in Shreveport?
