”Show Us Your Life with Kelly's Korner”
Wedding Receptions and Honeymoon!
I don't know about you but I love Kelly's idea about sharing our lives and it has been so much fun digging up old pictures! Again, for those of you stopping by for the first time, I had to scan these pictures in, AAHHHH, I know, so sorry for the poor quality!

My husband was very sweet and didn't smash cake in my face (although he was threatened with bodily harm had he done so). Our reception was short and sweet with the usual, first dance, food, cake, etc. A lot of people left early because we were so close to New Orleans and they wanted to see the city. We stayed our first night in New Orleans before heading out on our cruise!

This is my hubby's best friend and thought I would include this picture of "uncle" scott because our first born is named Jackson Scott after him!!!!
We headed out on a cruise to see Montego Bay, Cosumel, and Grand Cayman. Did I mention that we got married on September 8, 2001!? Yes, that's right, that means that we were headed out to sea on the 9th not knowing, of course, that our lives and world would change forever in just 2 days. I will never forget waking up on the morning of the 11th and making my way to get some breakfast to bring back to the room. There was a t.v. in the dining room and as I waited for my gourmet omlet, I saw the footage of the first world trade center attack. I left my omlet on the grill and ran back to our cabin to tell my hubby there had been a plane crash. At this point no one knowing what evil terrorism had taken place. We turned on our cabin television and watched in horror as the towers collapsed. Needless to say, that put a huge damper on our honeymoon. WE couldn't get in touch with family. We felt alone, disconnected, scared, and unsure about our new future together in the wake of this horrible event. The cruise held a memorial service and kept news footage rolling. We still enjoyed some amazing sunsets together and tried to have fun snorkeling and swimming with the sting rays, but all in all it was hard to not be able to be home with family during this horrible time for our nation.

Most of my pictures are already in a scrapbook so I just scanned in some pages. We were on the Carnival Inspiration. Every night when we went back to the cabin, our towels were cute little critters on our bed. It was nice to have a big window so I could keep my barrings. I was only sea sick for 1 day and then adjusted. I did miss the lobster dinner though because it was a rough day at sea and I was sick in the cabin.

Have a blessed and wonderful weekend!!!

My husband has been in my life for 20+ years and I still feel my heart skip a beat when he walks in the door.
I pray that all you ladies have that feel for years to come.
