Yesterday was my birthday! I couldn't think of a better gift than shopping at the local Garden Spot and re-doing my yard for fall!!! Although, yesterday did consist of pedicures, lunch with mom, gramma, and sisters, and then out for dinner with my hubby and boys! I always find joy and peace in yardwork!! Call me crazy, it's my therapy.  Hope you are having a great week!!

Fall Fun

We just got back from an amazing saturday of fun filled fall favorites!! We found an awesome pumpkin patch that features acres and acres of corn mazes to navigate. They also have hayrides, pony rides, games, food, pumpkins, and so much fun! Here is a sneak peek into our day that ended up being colder than we expected. The boys had a blast and it was worth the hour drive to see their smiling faces!

There is something very wrong with the fact that I just went out to mow the lawn and had to come in as to not suffer from heat exhaustion! Where is it normal to be 86 degrees with 99% humidity on October 15th??? Crazy. Not to mention the fact that it has been raining for the last week and the ground is soggy and muddy. I had to come running inside and strip my clothes off in the laundry room after realizing that the fire ants had crawled over my tennis shoes and under my jeans and once they started biting I looked down to see them all over me! Dear God, what is the purpose of fire ants????
Anyway, just got a COLD diet coke and hot shower and am feeling better, minus the ant bites that itch like crazy. Hope you all are enjoying more seasonable fall weather where you are!!!

It's fall, y'all!

WoooHoooo! Our first cold front has officially pushed through. It is cool and breezy and wonderful. Well, actually, it's all relative, but I'm loving in! It is 67 degrees this morning and the high is 82. Like I said, it is all relative. The humidity is low which makes today feel like our first fall"ish" day. Yesterday was a blazing summer day with temps in the 90's and kids coming in from playing dripping in sweat and begging for popsicles!
I am dying to get my fall decorations out and up and am so sad that I am not the first one on my street to have adorable pumpkins on my doorstep. I have been out of commission with a back and neck issue and am hoping the next few days will allow me to feel up to climbing in the attic and finding my fall box!
