Oh, how I wish time would slow down. You are such an amazing boy and I am so proud of you and who you are growing up to be! You are a kind, sweet, tenderhearted boy who loves to be with friends and family. You are so concerned with everyone around you and want everyone to be happy. You are easy going and extremely lovable. I love that you need hugs and kisses all day long and aren't scared to ask for them or just steal them!! :) I hear " I love you, mom" at least 100 times a day from your sweet lips and you brighten the room just with your presence. I never would have imagined that all we were concerned about with you in the past few years, would work out just fine. You are expressing yourself so well and I tear up to think about how you have progressed! You still have a few little quirks that make your dad and me laugh. Like when you tell us you have to "take my pants ON!" (oops, you still have a few phrases that you mix up, you really mean OFF). You have an amazing memory and bible verses are your favorite to memorize. You are so smart and reading on a first grade level! Yesterday you wanted to get on the scale, WOW!! you are 58.8 lbs and almost 4 feet tall!! I love you more than words could ever say and look forward to many more years of laughter with you as the biggest brother in our family! Happy 6th Birthday baby!!!
Why is it life seems so crazy all the time?! And I only have 2 kids!!! Just an little update for now:
- have had terrible wrist pain with nerve pain radiating up my arm and into my hand. went to the doctor yesterday, carpal tunnel, more tests today to see if surgery will help.
-started reading Beth Moore's new book, So Long, Insecurity. Wow, Satan jumped right in to challenge me on that. Great book. I recommend it to anyone even if you think you're a secure person. Beth is a great author!
-weather is crazy, warm and sunny yesterday, cold and dreary today, so ready for spring!
-getting ready for my biggest to turn 6 on saturday, sniff. Can't believe it. we will have family in from out of town so I need to get busy!
well we are about half way through another week. boys are out of school this week for mardi gras break. we haven't done anything fun or special...feeling bad about that. i'm working tonight. it is supposed to warm up a little today so maybe we can go outside. we avoided new orleans monday and tuesday when my hubby was off just because of the mardi gras crowds. would have like to go to the aquarium but not with parade central down there! so here we are, just another thursday. enjoying some new songs on my ipod and just started reading Beth Moore's new book, So Long Insecurity. I didn't think it was going to be exactly for me but wanted to join her online book club she is doing through her blog. Well, 11 pages in and I realized it is exactly for me! Beth is so down to earth and tells it like it is! Check out the blog button on my sidebar for Living Proof Ministries. Also, my ipod is smoking with the playing of my new fav artist, check out meredith andrews! You're not alone and Can anybody hear me, 2 amazing songs and I can't wait for her whole new cd to be released. i will try to post another video later! Hope you are having a blessed week!
Well, I am wrapping up a great weekend here! Friday night we had a great time at our annual evening Mardi Gras parade. The boys had a blast! It was so cold, but we had fun. I worked last night and my wonderful hubby kept the boys busy and happy. I came home and john took the boys to church. I slept all day and it was great. Woke up and got ready for a date with my main squeeze! Our church had babysitting for $5 which was so wonderful!! They could go from 6-9 and that ended up being perfect for our date at Copelands. We waited at the bar for awhile and then got a table. We had an amazing meal topped off by to die for dessert. The company was wondeful and just having time to stare into my husband's eyes for awhile without little ones around was a gift by itself. The boys (all 3 of them) made me homeade cards that are just precious. I am so blessed.
It's snowing! Well sleeting, and accumulating ice. NOT like D.C. and New York and all those places of course. But when we get anything "wintery" down here it is wierd! The kids thought it was great and loved catching it on their tongues. Watch school will probably close tomorrow for this little nothing of sleet. It's still fun! Hope you all are having a good week!!!!
